Cricket sponsored WrestleMania 39 kept the high energy going following an electrifying Royal Rumble. This year’s event took place during the first weekend in April, and we have an exclusive recap. WWE Superstars, our beloved character Rose, Boys & Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles families, and fans all came together for the showdown at the SoFi Stadium.

Be A STAR Field Day
Wednesday, March 29, we kicked off the eventful weekend with a stop at the Challengers Boys & Girls Club to provide a fun-filled day focused on mental health and anti-bullying.  WWE® Superstar Xavier Woods®, WWE® Superstar Liv Morgan®, WWE® Global Ambassador & BGCA Alumni Hall of Famer Titus O’Neil®, WWE® Superstar Lacey Evans ®, WWE® Superstar Carmella ®, and host NXT Announcer Alicia Taylor led the group activities.

USC quarterback and 2023 Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams joined in on the festivities sharing with the 70 students the impacts of bullying. Cricket Wireless topped off the event by surprising the Challengers Club with a $5,000 donation! Four Club members also received Be a STAR Awards in the Cricket Fan Zone. As always, we are proud to partner with WWE to help the next generation Show Tolerance and Respect toward others and build happy, healthy connections.

In-store Meet & Greet
Day one of WrestleMania we hosted an in-store meet and greet with WWE Superstars Solo Sikoa and twins Jey and Jimmy Uso. Over 650 fans took photos and received autographed cards, including the winners of our Flyaway Sweepstakes. The first fan in line started waiting at 7pm the night before. Fans were welcomed in our store with a chance to enter a raffle to win WrestleMania tickets and WWE merch. One lucky winner was surprised with a new Motorola device. The energy at our store was a great warm up to two days of WrestleMania.

Flyaway Sweepstakes winners received a two-night stay, roundtrip flights,  ground transportation to and from weekend events, a $500 gift card, a smartphone, WWE® title, WWE® Superstar autographed cards, merch, and one year of Cricket’s Unlimited Extra Plan. Look out for our next sweepstakes for your chance to win a smile worthy prize!

Let’s Get Social
WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Drew McIntyre shared cinematic movie shot tips, played the famous text, call, ignore challenge, and helped our very own character Rose name her signature WWE finishing move. Meanwhile, Derek Baker, our favorite influencer, and the #BakerBanter crew connected with new friends from far and wide.  Derek was even greeted with a custom Baker Mania t-shirt from a fan. He highlighted the two-night spectacle on Instagram and captured smiles for miles with his Cricket selfie Cam!

Over 160,000 fans flocked to the SoFi Stadium over the course of two nights, in addition to WrestleMania 39 being the most viewed event with 500M+ views! We cannot wait to keep up the momentum reuniting with the WWE team for Summer Slam this August in Detroit. This partnership allows us to share the power of Cricket 5G while spreading smiles!
