Roses are red, violets are blue, #CricketNation is painting the town green, with tons of smiles too! It’s always a mighty task highlighting all the meaningful connections our Field Marketing team and Authorized Retailers create in our community. So, here are some of the ways they hit the ground running in 2024 to go the extra smile!

Impact to Smile About
Authorized Retailer Sukar & Sons, Inc. and #CricketNation are active in San Bernardino County, CA. For eight years and counting Sukar & Sons,Inc. led the charge of  serving families in need through Bags of Hope food distributions. As a result, Authorized Retailers such as Spacetel, Talk 4 Less, TKS and others have also taken up the mantel to join in. The goal is to help families stress less, by alleviating their monthly expenses. The non-profit, Unido’s Por La Musica (UPLM) recognized Cricket’s service by naming Cricket as Corporation of the Year! In addition, the 33rd district Congressman Pete Aguilar also presented the brand with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition. Way to go!

Similarly, in Baltimore #CricketNation and Authorized Retailer My Wireless (Inder Trading, Inc.) collaborated with several community centric organizations to pack 1,500 “Bags of Love” to support families facing food insecurities at the EMD Sales International Foods distribution center.

Black History Month
In February, we celebrated Black History by focusing on everyday changemakers in our communities. In Minneapolis, Cricket connected with the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Market, a platform for 25+ Black-owned businesses and creatives to showcase their offerings to the community. With special thanks to the event organizer, Cricket was able to surprise Reggie, the founder of a new gourmet dog treat company called Must Be Ruff with a $1,000 donation. The family run company launched a fundraiser called “The Marie Project” to help teach youth the benefits of having compassion for animals. As a result of our continued relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, the Humane Society and Reggie will begin to host pet training events onsite for Club members.

Meanwhile, in New York City we focused on inspiring tomorrow’s leaders at the Bronx District Nine Literacy Expo. In collaboration with Authorized Retailer, A&P Holdings, we donated 250 bookmarks and 50 copies of an anti-bullying book written by local author, Kimberly Seabrook.

WWE SuperSpaces
WWE’s Royal Rumble in Florida was not complete without the unveiling of the first of many SuperSpaces. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast received a state-of-the-art renovated tech room and a $5,000 donation from Cricket. Also, three teen gaming center leaders were recipients of $5,000 scholarships to support their continued education. WWE® Superstars Big E™, Kofi Kingston®, Xavier Woods®, Candice LeRae™, Natalya® and WWE® Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil® joined #CricketNation and Rose at the grand opening inspiring smiles to 100 Club members.

Cricket’s 25th Birthday
The brand hit a big milestone celebrating its 25th birthday in March! On social, we shared how the brand has evolved throughout the years. We expressed our gratitude to our longest standing customers by surprising them with a token of our appreciation for their brand loyalty.

We are grateful for our Authorized Retailers and team members across the country who continue to create meaningful experiences for all. As the old saying goes, “April showers, brings May flowers.” Stay tuned to see where we shower with love and service next.
