Cricket Wireless Kicks Off Annual Holiday Campaign on Giving Tuesday

ATLANTA, Nov. 25, 2024

Key Takeaways:

  • Over 700 individual Boys & Girls Club members and over a dozen families to benefit

  • WWE® Superstars, Progressive Leasing and Samsung join to inspire smiles in 13 cities

Cricket Wireless and Boys & Girls Clubs of America come together to spread joy to families and Club members during the festive season with Cricket’s annual holiday giving campaign, 12 Days of Cricket. For the third year in a row, Progressive Leasing,  is also supporting the campaign to create greater impact in the communities Cricket serves. Boys & Girls Clubs youth and their families across the country will benefit from gifts and financial support valued at more than $100K.

12 Days of Cricket has given Cricket the opportunity to make greater impact in the community beyond the work done throughout the year. Overall, Cricket Wireless has donated over one million dollars to this organization over the years. “12 Days of Cricket is meant to bring smiles to Boys & Girls Clubs families during the holiday season,” said Angela Rittgers, president, Cricket Wireless. “Serving our local communities is an integral part of our company’s mission, and I’m proud of the work our employees and authorized retailers do to make this campaign more impactful year after year” she added. This year, Cricket employees will get involved by purchasing campaign merchandise with all proceeds going to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and participating in a gift packing event benefiting 500 Club members in Cricket’s hometown of Atlanta.

Holiday events will take place at Boys & Girls Club locations in 13 cities across the nation with most of these events happening on Giving Tuesday. The organization hopes to encourage other brands to increase their giving initiatives on this day as well. WWE Superstars LA Knight, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Rhea Ripley will be surprising families and Club members in select cities. They will be gifting WWE Championship titles to the Clubs, signing autographs and sharing how Club members can exhibit kindness among their peers all year long.

“We are thrilled to have Cricket Wireless’ continued support to help celebrate Boys & Girls Club kids and their families this holiday season,” said Chad Hartman, National Vice President of Corporate Partnerships & Engagement. “Every young person has the potential to thrive, and we are honored to have trusted partners like Cricket Wireless who help make our mission possible.”

Samsung is also collaborating with Cricket to spread extra holiday cheer and will be providing Samsung Galaxy Buds FE to select recipients. And Cricket’s HBCU Campus Ambassadors who are BGCA alumni will be visiting their former local clubs to present gift cards to staff members who made an impact in their development.

To help spread holiday cheer to America’s youth in our communities consider donating today. Also, follow Cricket to keep up with all of the ways we are spreading smiles for miles in communities!
